In 2001, the large-scale contemporary art biennial Artline 5: Interaktionen - Natur & Architektur took place in the German city of Borken.This major international art project ran from May 13 to June 30, 2001. It was curated by the Belgian curator Jan Hoet (then director of the S.M.A.K. museum in Ghent) in collaboration with Michel Dewilde and Rolf Lührmann.
